Luxo Jr. Lamp Model

This model was designed and built in January of 2020 and is based on the “Pixar Lamp” originally from the Pixar animated short “Luxo Jr”. The model was designed in Autodesk Inventor and was 3D printed on a Prusa I3MK3 3D printer. The model can fully articulate and has working electrics. The model is scaled based on an E17 light bulb that was salvaged from a broken Lava Lamp, later replaced by an LED filament bulb, shown in images above. This resulted in a model that only stands 8 in tall, which ultimately adds to the character of the piece.
